The Coolest Cars from the Fast & Furious Movies.
Love them or hate them, the movies in The Fast and the Furious franchise deliver on what they promise: gratuitous action and lots of cars. The plots may barely hold water, but each film seems to outdo the last in terms of physics-defying stunts. With hundreds of cars featured over the years, it's tough to whittle down the best of the lot.
Nevertheless, here are our top favorite Fast and Furious cars from all nine installments.
1970 Dodge Charger
At the end of The Fast and the Furious, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) races Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) in his father's 1970 Dodge Charger, which is said to make 900 hp. After just missing being hit by a freight train, the Charger hits a truck and flips through the air. Although it looks like the Dodge muscle car's racing days are over, the car returns in the fourth and fifth films—at one point it's even used to break Toretto out of a prison transport bus.
Nissan Skyline GT-R R34
Brian O'Conner drives an R34-generation Nissan Skyline GT-R at the beginning of 2003's 2 Fast 2 Furious. He enters the car in a four-way street race, where he jumps the all-wheel-drive super coupe from a bridge before getting car-tasered by the cops. The R34 returns in the fourth installment, though it's unclear if O'Conner installed a "Gallo 12" or "Gallo 24" engine this time around.

1994 Toyota Supra MK IV Supra
The iconic Toyota Supra initially appears in the first film as a rusted model hauled straight from a scrap dealer’s. However, it is subsequently revitalised to become only one of the most beloved cars in the whole franchise, holding its own in multiple high-speed chases. It is the steed that Toretto rides off in to evade the police after O’Conner throws him the keys at the end of a climactic drag race. A white Supra also makes a cameo appearance in Furious 7.
1967 Ford Mustang With an RB26 Engine Swap
Appearing in the third film, Tokyo Drift, the 1967 Ford Mustang is main protagonist Sean Boswell’s vehicle of choice in taking on the Japanese ‘Drift King’, Takashi. Its pivotal role in the film’s climax, beating Sean’s previously unbeaten rival, has made it a long-time fan favourite. This is even despite the building of it involving what some would see as sacrilege: swapping out the original car’s Ford V8 for a twin-turbocharged, straight-six from a Nissan Skyline. A 1969 Mustang Fastback also plays a major part in Fast & Furious 6.
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko
One of the bad guys in 2 Fast 2 Furious drives a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko. Brian O'Conner wins the muscle car after racing for pink slips. The car is later used in the movie to evade police and jump onto a boat. The car used in the film was a replica, which is good, considering genuine Camaros prepared by famed dealership Yenko Chevrolet are highly sought-after collector cars.

1987 Buick Regal GNX
Dominic Toretto inexplicably chooses an ultra-rare 1987 Buick Regal GNX as his ride of choice during a tanker truck heist in the fourth film, Fast & Furious. Based on the Regal Grand National, the GNX was the last of the turbo Buicks and came stock with a turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 rated at 245 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque.
VeilSide Mazda RX-7
The FD-generation Mazda RX-7 appears several times throughout the Fast film series. Toretto drives on in The Fast and the Furious. Another FD appears in 2 Fast 2 Furious. But it's the VeilSide FD RX-7 that Han (Sung Kang) drives in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift that truly takes the crown for us.

2001 Honda S2000
The Honda S2000 has been modified by enthusiasts for road racing, autocrossing, drag racing, drifting, and everything in between. Honda's high revving roadster is the car of choice for Johnny Tran (Rick Yune) who, in The Fast and the Furious, claims has a "hundred-grand under the hood". In 2 Fast 2 Furious, Suki (Devon Aoki) jumps her hot pink S2000 off a drawbridge and lands with only minor cosmetic damage.
1968 Dodge Charger
Toretto will once again get behind the wheel of a classic Dodge Charger in F9, but this time around he's commandeering an especially crazy take on the well-known Mopar muscle car that features a mid-mounted supercharged V-8 engine. The project was spearheaded by Dennis McCarthy of SpeedKore, and the build is worth an estimated sum north of $1,000,000. McCarthy built a handful of stunt versions of the car, too, although these machines ditch the hero car's Hellcat-sourced engine for GM LS3 crate engines.
